New Year, Old Dao

According to a expert I know, Dao means the highest reality imaginable in Chinese philosophy. He says, Dao is like God's mother and dates back to pre-Christian times.

I like to go to the Dao and use it like a divination. Its wisdom comes like the food needed by my spiritual digestive system.

Today, New Year's, this is the reading:

To use words but rarely is to be natural.??
Hence a gusty wind cannot last all morning,
and a sudden downpour cannot last all day.?
Who is it that produces these?
Heaven and earth.?
If even heaven and earth cannot go on forever,
much less can humans.?
That is why one follows the way.??

A person of the way conforms to the way;?
One of virtue conforms to virtue;?
A person of loss conforms to loss.?
One who conforms to the way is gladly accepted by the way;?
A person who conforms to virtue is gladly accepted by virtue;?
One who conforms to loss is gladly accepted by loss.??
When there is not enough faith, there is lack of good faith.
