The Good Father...
encourages strength
and shores up
what is not yet sturdy.
The Good Father
offers directions
to the childs courage
and wisdom.
The good father
has drawn the road map
to these qualities
in himself
The good father
does not harm his son
nor does he treat his daughter
like she is an object of his unloved and unknown self.
The good father
knows his power to devastate
He is quick to offer apology
When he has made a mistake
Did you have this
Good Father?
For just a moment?
Not enough?
Okay.
Did he never exist
in your world?
Were you deprived
like so many others?
Okay. So, go.
Go find the Good Father
in yourself and
forgive the lost
fatherless man
Free yourself
from the bondage
of that he who wasnt
enough for you.
Be that man,
no matter if you are
the son
or the daughter.
And then,
Let him go too.
Forget the Good Father
And simply be.
