Who are You?
WHO ARE YOU?
Religions Answer:?The worlds great mystics say that you are God in disguise, the One Indivisible Spirit within the heart of every being. Your innermost nature is Silence, Stillness, Buddha-Nature, the Self, the Ground of Being. This is an extraordinary claim. Outwardly you are a person, inwardly you are the Source of the world
Awaken to your True Identity, say the mystics, and live in conscious awareness of Who you really are, and your life will be profoundly affected. You will find inner peace, inspiration, joy, freedom, love, meaning, immortality.
Sciences Answer:?What you are depends on the range of the observer. At several meters, more or less, you are human, but at closer ranges you are cells, molecules, atoms, particles Viewed from further away your body becomes absorbed into the rest of society, life, the planet, the star, the galaxy Thus you have many layers, like an onion. You need every one of these layers to live. Sciences objective view of you zooming towards and away from you - reveals a hierarchically organized system of layers that is alive at every level, astonishingly intelligent and stunningly beautiful. Your human identity is one vital layer in a much deeper and wider you.
What are you at the centre of your many layers?:?Science cannot say because the scientist can only observe you from a distance. However close science gets to you, it remains outside you. What or Who you really are, the Ground of your Being, remains a mystery.
Other Peoples Answer:?Other people are like the scientist because they too only see you from a distance for them you are the person they interact with. They cannot see what you are at Centre, only what you are peripherally. They reflect back to you what they make of you at a distance and of course, their feedback is about your human identity, not about your Centre.
Your Answer: You are not distant from yourself, not outside yourself. You and you alone - are therefore perfectly placed to see what you are at Centre. All you have to do is look
