Little Conversations

Two boys talking on their way to school. Spencer is seven, Pau is six.

Spencer says, "have you ever seen a dead horse?"
Pau says, "no, but I've seen a horse poop."
Spencer laughes.
Pau says, "I've seen a sea cucumber poop too."
Spencer says, "Sea cucumbers don't poop."
Pau says, "they do too. I saw one poop a rock. My mom touched it."
Spencer says, "your mom touched sea cucumber poop?"
Pau says, "It was a rock."

Jo Jo, as I am carrying her from the car to the house.

Jo says, "I love your hair."
She's moving my hair through her hands.
Jo says, "you have princess hair."
Jo touches her own hair.
Jo says, "I have princess hair, too!"
I get her in the house and set her on her own feet. She walks a few steps toward the dining room and stops.
Jo says, "Baaboo has army hair. " (Baaboo is her nick name for Spencer).
Jo says, "Daddy has army hair too, and we have princess hair."

I had a dream last night that you didn't care about me

Jo this morning

I don't love you but sometimes, I do love you. I love you all the time but then, I don't love you sometimes.
